Genuine question: what tactics are you thinking about. On the subs, I think they didn't work out, but they didn't seem totally crazy in the context of the latter half of the second half and our available options off the bench.
Where were Mirallas and Niasse? Would be nice to see Martinez actually managing this squad rather than just telling me how attractive/unlucky/victimised we are.

Why start with two DM's against a club that's 99,9% certain to park the bus? They score first and throw away the key from said bus and lock the steering wheel. Why then don't sub Barry or even McCarthy, drop Barkley a litlle bit deeper, bring on Deulofeu to play of Lukaku and get Mirallas on for Cleverley. Bringing off Lennon must be one one of the stupidist things I've seen so far this season.

I have a lot of respect for Pulis and his teams are usually extremely hard to break down. If it had only be West Brom this season, I could accept that. We screwed up a few too many times this season however. Tactics and subs were our downfall today (just like the others before). Surely our manager is the one who has to answer to that?
Oh I agree, the subs were shocking, his obsession with getting Kone on the pitch is weird.

It was perfect for them today, they flukes a goal with the only way they would ever score, a set piece, then parked the bus for the whole match.

We did a similar thing against City recently, that's City the top scorers in the league at their gaff.

I'm amazed why WBA aren't running away with the league then, because they play the same every game !
Because they don't get the first goal very often. When they do, they don't give up very many leads -- their loss against us was one of the few times this season they did, actually, with a loss to Leicester and a draw to Liverpool the only other times they've been ahead and failed to win.

Bringing on Kone to play left wing or Osman(now his legs have completely gone) at all are never the best option. Could have been worse I suppose, could have bought Tim on.
