They could be missing Westwood, Brown, O'Shea and Cuellar.

Hopefully we'll smash them and City will do the same to the RS. The goal difference is 10 at the moment.

I don't think he'll play the same team tomorrow, Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday. If Distin and Pienaar are carrying knocks he could use the opportunity to introduce Alcaraz to the side and experiment with Oviedo on the left of midfield.

I'd go for:

HOWARD
COLEMAN - JAGIELKA - ALCARAZ - BAINES
NAISMITH - BARRY - MCCARTHY - PIENAAR
OSMAN
LUKAKU
tomorrow.

Keep Ross and Dusty and Mirallas fresh for Southampton.

Just a selection of comments from Ready to Go, Sunderland's version of GOT:

"Everton may become complacent that is our only hope."

"**** me, no matter what we put out we're going to get humped."

"Whoever is going to this match, you are brave souls. It could get very messy"

"We are going to get absolutely molested."

"I fear a proper spanking like a few year back, how come we play them every xmas anyway?"

"SMB poster kingbant1 fazed by Everton trip..."

"i only hope we keep the score down to 2 or 3"

"4/7 for everton is a cracking price"

So, that's that then.

Always worries me when something seems such a dead cert.

There's absolutely no room for complacency. We should win this, no question. Whether we do or not is entirely up to us... this match will tell us a lot about ourselves.

Games like this would worry me to death under Moyes but there's something about our approach under Martinez which makes me more confident. I think its the evident attitude installed into the team. Look at the Fulham game for example. Under Moyes we would of gone on to lose after they got a penalty but it didn't affect us in the slightest.

Re Baines he'll start on the bench and would have done so anyway even if Oviedo had been unimpressive. Normally the standard procedure for playings coming back from major injuries

Everybody saying we will smash Sunderland and city will smash liverpool. I don't like it. I don't know if it's the Evertonian side of me but I am nervous.

It would not be normal to not be nervous i say, sticking to 2-0 everton, and going 3-2 for man city

Sunderland have been playing better than results would suggest so dont think it's going to be easy. Not sure anyone did really.

However, we have better players than them from 1-11 so no reason we can't get all 3 points! Hopefully Lukaku will find his scoring boots again.

We could only just draw V Crystal Palace, and we lost to Fulham in the League Cup. We haven't quite lost the ability to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Good preview that Chico lid.

You can be absolutely certain that Roberto will not be having his players thinking they've won the game before you ref blows his whistle for the last time. Not a chance.

Nice to see the Sunderland fans complimenting us. They've always seemed like a decent bunch.
