It's not a loan mate. They signed him for £5m. 4 year contract.

And if you ever frequent the youth team thread you'd know he is very highly thought of and we would have been excited as hell to get him on a permanent.

There's one thing buying him and another playing him. full credit to the Southampton manager.

Would prefer to give a young promising lad a chance than some of the garbage we have bought in recent years. Do we even have a scouting network? I know Chelsea rated him highly, they also lost a few others this summer who wanted first team football.
