Professional, well managed performance - were organised and confident.

Anything is possible this season with this manager and a certain Hamez Rodriguez pulling on the royal blue.

I so can't wait for this bloody virus to bugger off so I can get back into Goodison and see him play for us in the flesh.

There are only a few players who have been that good that I don't watch the match - I watch them and what they do off the ball and on the ball.

Tricky Trev was one, Andrei kanchelskis another and now this fella - he's unreal.

Well, that was a very enjoyable match to watch. Lets keep doing that please. I know its not the greatest competition but outside of some real shockers the 1 touch passing was quite good for most of it and some really dangerous attacks. Closer to 5-0 than 1-0.

James is such an important player for us not because of his ability to pick apart the top teams in intense battles, but because of his ability to pick apart the teams a step down. How well you do in the league is often not about how well you do against the top 4 but whether you take all of the points against the bottom 10-15, and we have really struggled to break down lesser teams for many years. His creativity and passing allows us to do that and win games we would otherwise draw.

....just about perfect, 3-0 and the introduction of two youngsters (Onyango actually looked very comfortable).

Thought Gomes played well but it has to be Rodriguez for MoM. He can’t run, he can’t tackle but just like Sheedy he’s a joy to watch.

UTFT.
Small never got much of the ball, no fault of his own as he was playing more advanced when Wed's were looking to grab a consolation, but liked what little I saw of Onyango. Looked very calm on the ball, getting in good positions and shouting/demanding the ball - not enough time to form a solid opinion on of course, but a good sign!

Great 2nd half performance, and I mean that irrespective of the opposition. Since our start to the season, only rarely have we been properly good to watch. Great to see us knocking it about with confidence.

Improvements to be made but game went about as good as you can expect. Safely through, youngsters given some time and better players given a rest before the end. Hopefully after a relatively quiet period too, James has shown some of his best form again. Let's carry it on, huge game Wednesday.
