Godfrey is nowhere near good enough on the ball to play Central midfield. I dont understand this argument, the same with Holgate. Let them be defenders.

Yes I dont understand it. What have you seen that suggests Godfrey would be better in midfield. His skills are defensive, especially 1 v 1. His weakness is carrying the ball and passing it forward. I dont really want to see that type of football where we pick midfield players solely to defend. In midfield you need to be able to both sides.

I'd just like to play midfield players in midfield and defenders in defence. Sigurdsson is irrelevant to that and I dont think he'll be here next season.

I depends if we play a 2 or 3 I suppose. In a 3 we need really good footballers who can go box to box and retain possession well.

Difference with the league is you can have a few bites at the cherry. Teams with loser mentalities often dont fare well in the cups as one defeat and its over.

Look at RS over the years won trophies with worse sides than say Spurs under Poch.
