When you're 3-1 or 3-0 up and you have had a string of hamstring injuries to important players some of which only into a month of returning from lengthy lay offs you don't keep playing them when its not needed, its not how we lost him but I called for him an naismth to be taken off and it was always a risk that he would get injured, and he is our most important player

he has been back playing and had at least 4 games now. A player coming back from injury needs match fitness to get back up to speed. You only get match fitness by playing more minutes. Yes he is very important, yes that was unfortunate but how the F could anyone of saw that challenge coming. Don't be a tit mate.

well done blues. terrible performance like, besic and barkley were just amazing though, what a debut that was for them, simply put, besic should not be dropped for barry, not in hell's chance.

hope mirallas isn't too bad, terrible challenge tbh.

officials were so so poor tonight again, good job they didn't have a big decision to make because theygo so so many 50/50 decisions wrong.

quite glad we didn't get a clean sheet, distin and more specificially jagielka didn't deserve it, he was utterly appaling tonight i though. needs to be broken up for soton and hopefully we'll never see them pai up again.

weak wrists from howard?

I'm not going to moan (too much) because 3 points is 3 points, but we made a truly woeful QPR look semi decent there in the second half, everytime we try and play out form the back I get stressed out.

Our performances will pick up but right now i'd take boring wins like that from now until the end of the season

It's Kevin's ankle, he feel over it, it was left facing the wrong way on the slow mo.

Besic was a monster, he scares me mind as every tackle he makes I think the ref is going to book him!

Three much needed points for Everton (and me in the prediction league), but losing Mirallas has taken the gloss off tonight's result. And for those saying he should have been subbed earlier, you'd be right if he's pulled up lame, but you can't predict an act of thuggery like that.
Common sense says you don't risk your most influential players, look at UTD yesterday 2-0 up and off Rooney comes

Commentary embarrassing. That martin tyler is beyond a joke, the geordie fella is the biggest downer going.

Jags and distin axis of evil, Back 5 bottled it and gave into the fume to much at times and hoofed, never won a thing in the air up top.

Besic like a terrier, pure winner that kid

Barkley sheer class, looks Taylor made for a deeper spot

Kone and eto'o sound together

First half meh

Second half went at them from the off, Attacked with pace and scored the third, We then dropped off and took our foot off the gas
