Good result. Would have liked a couple more goals, but securing the three points was the top priority.

- Howard, Jags and Distin looked very solid.
- Baines thriving with Pienaar back in the team, and Pienaar had a neat, tidy game.
- Coleman was very good once again, as was Mirallas - the sooner we abandon the hoof in favour of keeping it on the floor, preferably with these guys, the better. Amazed Bosingwa didn't commit a second bookable, arguably we didn't target him enough.
- Gibson was unrecognisable compared to last week, a vastly improved showing from him today. Something tells me Moyes might have torn a strip off him on the way back from WHL.
- Osman simply looks shattered. He should not have started this game, let alone stayed on for 75 minutes. Did absolutely nothing of note.
- Fellaini demonstrated once again today that he is a far more effective orthodox CM than he is an ACM or 10. Even with Pienaar and Mirallas providing balance, width and attacking intent we STILL hoofed far too often, simply because he was in an advanced position. It reminds me of when Crouch plays up front for England.
- Anichebe took his goal well but missed an easier (but not easy) chance beforehand. Generally good, tried to bring others into play with little angled touches and bullied their CBs all day.

Moyes got the Osman/Jelavic sub right, including dropping Felli into CM. But it should have been made 30 minutes earlier. Not sure why Naismith and Heitinga came on when Barkley, Oviedo and Duffy would all have benefitted from the time.

Overall I'm happy though - the win is always the most important thing.

Osman was dire - pay rise is he having a joke looked uninterested the whole game imo!

Scum fans, 50 year old fellas shouting come on then and a young lad standing stabbed all on Priory with women, kids and families all around. Police and paramedics response vey poor.

......we were different level. Bottom line is we are better than we think we are and our neighbours are worst than they think they are. I do think that Gibson is imperious. What a signing, what a manager.

Christ I hope the lad is okay. Awful news.

On the game. I though Gibson did very well today in particular. We're still in the hunt for a European spot and with the RS drawing hopefully we'll finish at least 6th.
