Ok, so just answer this. Without Dyche holding you back, where do you reckon you’ll finish? Bc it seems to me there isn’t a lot of talent there. Branthwaite is class, sure. Calvert Lewin is better known for wearing a skirt than for his football ability.

I just find it extremely hard to believe that another manager would get a tune out of your side, especially if he started playing the style that all the pundits and championship manager tactics nerds tell us is the “right way”.
Is that you, Sean?

Whilst there was plenty to be frustrated about with today's performance, the most frustrating aspect for me was the minute or so after Notts Forest scored their second goal.

In the build-up, there was a clear foul on Orel Mangala which the awful referee seemed to miss, allowing Notts Forest's players to breeze through our defence and grab a second goal. However, after the goal, only one player - I think it was Mangala himself - confronted the referee. Why weren't all of our players surrounding the referee, requesting a VAR check? Still does not justify conceding the goal, but we really ought to fight for every margin we can.
VAR only checks for fouls in the build up to a goal. We had possession again after Mangala was fouled, so that doesn't count as the build up.

We’d be comfortably mid table under someone else

Look at Forest we finished above them last season and look at them now

They also had a blinder this window. Brought in a bunch of quality players. I reckon it’s more your recruitment is rubbish than it is that Dyche is rubbish. Forest hardly play expansive, attacking football. They just have more quality in the side.

Nearly all their starting 11s this season have only included 1 or 2 signings made in the summer. (Mainly Elliot Anderson). The rest were there last season.

Our reserves beat forest 7 nil, maybe baines could be the answer or a carsley and baines combo, both play good football.
I'd 100% be going for Carsley and bringing in a foreign Director of Football with connections to several of the top European leagues. There is gold to be had out there that keeps getting swept up by the likes of Brighton while we're wasting more money on trash like Maupay and McNeil (£25m) or players we didn't even need like O'Brien (£15m).
