Only caught the second half but really impressed with Lennon and Ross - great work rate and Ross in particular looked to stamp his authority on the game! Good watch! How was the defence - didn't have much to do from what I could see.

Lennon and ross brilliant tonight, robles assured and defence looked miles better with no stones back their, deulofeu and baines fresh for stoke away and the new boy as well, feels good going forward

Kone probably played one of his last games for everton based on that though and seamus looks well out of sorts still, but overall a very pleasing result

Nice to see oviedo, cleverley and mccarthy play a full 90 without looking dead at the end

That's Newcastle no points, lost 2 defenders for the next few matches and also lost GD advantage over Sunderland.

Rough night for the NE kopites

Could have easily been 6-0 with all those chances, Elliot was great second half.

That 10-15 minute spell which we seem to have every game came about once again, fortunately it didn't result in anything.

Finally. Scoreline reflects the dominance, even if two were pens in the final minutes. We would have been out of sight by halftime if not for that keeper. A few shaky moments in defence, but Robles looked pretty calm and collected and a clean sheet is always welcome. Tim, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

Could have been very different if Mitrovic had scored from the cross Funes Mori was sleeping with...still can't position themselves at all in defence

No stones or Howard = no goals conceded

Great last five minutes from Ross, not a great second half overall, but he's obviously class. He's 90% done and just needs a bit more time in the oven to finish cooking.

Will see him in full pomp inside the next 12 months or so.

Ha summed up perfectly he's gonna be some player.

Mini review of the game.

Naisse came at a brilliant time for us. We strolled past a poor team at home again and sent the fans home buzzing.

And kone is a terrible striker
