....Ancelotti is not demonstrating a tactical ability to get something from these games where Richarlison is banned. Despite the midweek loss, United have been doing very well on the road.

it’s difficult to see us getting anything from tomorrow’s game.
Richy really does set the tone from the start and its shown how flat we are without him

Makes it even more bizarre that we didn’t bring a forward in. Did we think we could go all season without him being injured?

What if he gets coronavirus over the international break, do we then go on to lose to Fulham and Leeds?

...except Richarlison has been taking a wide role and we have cover in that position.

I agree to some extend Eggs. However We are having to ask players who proved they dont perform at this level, to start performing at this level and above and that is a major problem. Newcastle didnt help the fact we were missing 4 key components of our attack. Both FB's and both 'WIngers' (not really wingers).

I have faith that over time we will become less reliant on three players and have players ready to jump in while understanding the system and being suited to it. Siggy, Iwobi and Bernard all not suited at all to how we play. CA says he likes counter attacking. We lose a magician on the right with his full back who supports wide, we lose left back who supports wide (and creates ALOT for us, dont under esitmate this) and obviously Richarlison who is so important not only for his goal threat but the sheer problems he causes just by being on the pitch.

CA demonstrated enough last season to get points from games where we were not good enough or had no real threat about us. I have no doubt given time, given the shed of deadwood and import of a better standard, we will be better long-term.

Ultiamtely, as nice as this start has been (bubble was always gonna burst), we are going to suffer defeats and injuries. To a degree we are still suffering some deadwood from old regimes.

It's the long-game we need to remember, the big picture.

And I agree about tomorrow as well, difficult for us.. However we have had a weeks rest, James is back, Digne is back. In the past we have gone into this pessimistic but knowing our squad isnt good enough. We can be pessimistic but remember that we do have some talent on the pitch to begin with (not so much in reserve), so we are CAPABLE of the result, just need to turn up.

We have 'cover' but no real replacement if that makes sense. AG is promising but so far hasn't done too much at the higher levels. Iwobi and Bernard aren't good enough. All three dont have the character that Richarlison has on the pitch in the sense of aggression, directness.

Mina should defo not start. That mistake for their second goal (v Newcastle) was enough to bench him for at least couple of games.
To be fair, despite falling asleep on the through ball he did get back well and frankly the deflection from his tackle could have gone anywhere.

But it didn't. Mina has been liabiltiy this season. Can play really well but then has a howler of a moment in him. Salah's goal and this one.

He is not the only one who has this trait in his defence.
