I agree that the top team after 38 games deserves to win the league, but that in no way changes the adverse impact that a Liverpool title win would have on Everton as a club and their supporters. Hence, I want to avoid a situation in which Liverpool finish top after 38 games, which is why I am more than fine with Everton losing by a high margin against City.
It all boils down to sportsmanship versus gamesmanship. Sportsmanship can do one as far as I am concerned.
The gig isn't right anyway. Where was Liverpool's points deduction following their administration the other year? Absolutely bloody nowhere, that's where! And it was administration! The owners of the club had their ownership taken away from them due to defaulting with creditors, and then the creditors agreed to sell the ownership of the club to a different entity of their own choice, without the permission of the owners. That, is administration!
Then you have MULTIPLE instances of the RS 'gamesmanship' (cheating) over the years. Even in that CL win in 2005, the third goal was a penalty resulting from a blatant dive from Gerrard, and Dudek was a good 3 yards infront of the goal line during each of the penalties he was involved in after extra time.
Sportsmanship my arse! Special Dispensation FC wouldn't know the meaning of sportsmanship!
