....Gareth Barry was immense. It was him who set up the win in that first 50mins with some great interceptions and passes. His part in the Mirallas goal is an illustration, intercepts with a great little round the corner pass.

I appreciate his game time will be increasingly limited and I'm sure he knows that himself but I love watching really good footballers and he's one of them.

Great example of rope a dope tactics. Common sense prevails when we can admit we would never have as much possession as City so keep it tight and try and break. 1st half we seemed a bit rushed in possession and gave it straight back but 2nd half much more controlled. Great tactics and greatly executed. Holgate, Davies and Lookman are to name 3 youngsters given the chance by Koeman because they are good players....its that simple. No point giving youngsters a try out if you don't think they are good enough.

Still not pretty football but becoming effective and with more signings the future is looking good. Special praise for Ross as a couple of things didn't come off but a couple of assists and he put the effort in. He is looking good and creating so we cannot ask too much more of him.

Some of our stuff on the break in the second half was 'prettier' than anything we've played in 2 years, as we actually scored ;)

The performance was coming as you could see we were getting ore confident over time.

What a win though. Biggest defeat for Pep ever. Biggest defeat for City in 8 years (post the Sheikh buyout). Local Evertonians with key goals and assists. 8 Lads involved today 26 or younger. 3 teenagers play, 2 teenagers score. 1 Scores on his debut. The other plays very solidly at centre back. All this with further investment and singings to come.

We could go on. Each of the above merit a story on their own. Together they paint a picture of a fantastic win. The best win we've had in many years.
