I see a lot of negativity here. Does no one remember the last 3 seasons? Personally, not waking up in a cold sweat worrying about relegation has been somewhat refreshing.
Yup very true, however nothing but the best is good enough.I see a lot of negativity here. Does no one remember the last 3 seasons? Personally, not waking up in a cold sweat worrying about relegation has been somewhat refreshing.
If that goal had stood then I think we would have coasted to a 2-0 or 3-0.Could have been so different if that Ndiaye goal had stood. We were very good for the opening 30 minutes and I think they would've been up against it at that point. Just another painful day of Evertonia.
A few ramblings:
- Our supporters were immense today, that's what we need on a regular basis.
- It's great seeing some of our movement in midfield, the workrate and ability on the ball of players like Illy, KDH, Garner is refreshing.
- We definitely deserved something but the second they got that last corner I just knew it was going in our net. Those corners from the South East corner are a bloody jinx already.
- Chris Kavanagh is a 'kin coward when it comes to this lot, some of them seem unbookable to him.
- Don't really get the love for Beto in the vote. Yes, he scored, but his lack of finishing in the first half was atrocious once again, just a shame that his competition is at least as poor if not worse.
- What the actual f were Merseyside Police doing standing in the middle of the crowd on Regent Road, causing an obstruction as we walked out and past the away exit. They were actually contributing to the congestion themselves for no reason, thick as the proverbial mince.
- If we don't manage to grab a European place from where we've managed to get to now, I think Moyes' race might be run and that we need some new ideas to move us to the next stage.
- We're still in this, and the new stadium is feeling more like home.
- Van [Poor language removed] is a something pink that rhymes with punt.
Felt robbed in more ways than one, for once I had confidence we were going to turn that lot over.
We still need to massively improve our squad to kick on for next year we haven't got any strength in depth in any one position.
You can't honestly believe that.Utter sickener. However, this is the first time in about 14 years that we have been clearly the better team in the derby. I.E Not just that we have huffed and run more, but actually been the better football team. Obviously they win it on 90+10 but the trajectories of Everton and Liverpool have converged and now I honestly believe we will overtake them.
Ten years from now we will be the pre-eminent force in the city, playing at a world class stadium in a revamped docks linked up to the city, and we will finally be leaving that lot in the dust like we should have in the 80's.

We've got no full backs and only 1 half decent striker. We also have a massive question mark over the fitness of our best defender. Yesterday our performance went downhill quickly once we started bringing on subs.Weve got strength in depth in every position.
Moyes has never used a full squad. He has an 11 at the beginning of every season and sticks to it as much as possible, every game.
Meaning all other squad members are rusting and not ready until being thrown in at random and then dropped at will.

How is that strength in depth in every position?
The fact our season hasn't been quite as good as we hoped is entirely down to the fact we don't have enough strength in depth.
That's really not squad depth at all. None of those players are of the standard we need. Our current starting right back is playing out of position as wellWTF are you mad.
Mykolenko + Aznou = Left backs
O'Brien + Patterson + Coleman = Right backs
If thats not squad depth i dont know what is.
