the true test of the strength of this squad will be the 19th Dec - 6th Feb - there are 39 points available in this 6 weeks and it will go along way to defining any clubs season. Worryingly, if you look at the results over the december through Jan chunks of the season, Liverpool and City have traditionally picked up a huge amount of points & I think the cadence of two games a week is easier for them because of squad depth & simply practice with European football.

If you look at Leicester in 2015 and last year to an extent, this was where they consolidated their position in the table, if we navigated through that period, we will have a right chance.

Yes all fair. Our fixtures turn in December. It's an interesting question though, as if we keep winning when eople reach the tipping point that we are in the title race.

Lots of teams win 2 at the start and struggle. A handful win 3 and struggle. Not many win 5 and struggle.

Careful mate, the lurking reds may think you're serious! If you are, be satisfied your optimism is making them very angry!
My mate 3 days ago was hoping it was going to be called off lol - with a few of them having the virus - if they could not have enough players for the game [which they would] , it should be the auto 3-0 win anyway

To be champion the average in recent years indicates that in all 38 matches you have to get 30 wins tie 4 and lose 4....TOFFEES GO WELL

While the rules seem a bit up the wall, that would be the default position at present. The league have been quite clear though, if you have 13 pro's, it goes ahead.

For me, we are in it if we get a point or more on Sat week, for the rest to take us seriously, I think somewhere around the 26/27 points from 10 games us when the penny starts dropping. I think there has been a hint if incorrect dismissal of our 4 games, because of who we played. I'd argue how we played is more important & Spurs from (which I really didn't expect) suggests there may be more to the "they werent let play" arguement

I think we need to probably win against Liverpool, and probably 1 or 2 more in honesty.

I don't buy this who have we played stuff though. Palace have won 2 from 4- or 2 of their other 3 apart from us and look a handful. Brighton look very well set up to play away and cause teams problems. West Brom are poor, like Leeds and Fulham promoted teams find it hard to keep goals out. Tottenham, people are backing to win the title and emerging as probably the best team behind Liverpool and City.

I mean there is 1 "gimme" game in there West Brom. No Newcastle, Leeds, Villa, Fulham, Burnley etc who you sense will probably end up towards the wrong end at the back end of the season.

And as you say, we have pretty comprehensively dispatched whats in front of us.

I don't see us losing
That is the downfall of greater men than you ,we have seen with our own eyes ,not that I am supposing I am greater but maybe seen it all before .
Even when we had our heydays in the past we had trouble beating them ,what we need is someone who doesn't fear them ,doesn't need to run to influence the game ,someone with the skill to unlock their defence with one pass ,someone to find the most in form player in the league and leave them flat-footed ,someone like Hamez .COYB

Anything but defeat doesnt derail our credibility in terms of title race IMHO

You are right about the "who we have played arguement"; but it is a narrative that is there, incorrectly if as you did above, looked at the actual games

Just don’t let one game ruin our season like the Pickford derby did. Even if they beat us they ain’t going ahead of us. We’ve had games against them where we’ve ended up with someone having a three match ban, someone else crocked, and it’s elf to us losing momentum in the next few games also. Far worse Everton teams have drawn with far better Liverpool teams. If we can get our first team out, just play our game, and keep 11 on the pitch we have nothing to fear against them.
