Paul Merson on our chances....
“If I had to tip someone to win the cup, I would go for a team like Everton,” Merson said. “I’ve asked the question before and I’ll ask it again – would they rather finish seventh or win a trophy?
“They’re not going to get relegated and they’re not going to finish in the top six. So have a go. Try to win a trophy. Don’t rest everyone.
“The draw wins you the trophy but if they get through and end up playing a top-six team at home, I would still fancy them if they play their strongest team.”

That’s us out then :(
He's talking sense for once.

He is just trying to make amends for the Richarlison comments.

Betting against your own team! If you are that strapped for cash you shouldn't be gambling.

It probably isn't about the money. I put money on against Everton once in a game a while ago. I didn't want the bet to win but thought it would
take away a bit of the disappointment if we lost. We won as it happened, and I wouldn't have won that much, anyway.
It wouldn't work now because I'm comfortably retired, have no debt and the amount of money I'd win on that kind of bet isn't important to me now. I've only had one bet on football since and that was $200 on Everton at 15/2 in the derby last month because I thought we had a good chance of winning and the odds were
ridiculous. I was gutted at the result but did care about the money.
.

Aye, pretty sure every game is being shown today, so there should be a babbling brook for anybody in need.

I personally don't mind it today. Keeps the interest up all day. The cup needs all the exposure it can get.

It's not broadcasters fault the FA Cup is in bad shape. It's the managers fault for continually disrespecting it by playing second strings.

I expect a strong team. No more than 3-4 changes. And a comfortable home win. Anything less is not good enough today. No excuses not to win.

I know we've been through this but just because he makes changes, doesn't mean it won't be a strong team.

Like, a lot of outfield players that played last week were not worthy of a start today, on merit, and really on form none of them do, bar Digne.

I'm expecting 5-6 changes, personally, but think some will be a necessity. No excuse not to get the game won though, no.

Just want to reiterate again that 'x changes' does not constitute a weak side, especially when our 'first XI' have been crap.

Er, didn't care about the money. Just wanted to clear that up.
