Everton v Espanyol

Preposterous! Why would we want players supporting our striker! #koemanout lol

....the disadvantage is Deulofeu isn't providing the ammunition for him from a permanent wide position. It also means the out balls tend to go down the middle, against United the ball kept coming back. Those defensive midfielders could be pivotal positions in RKs team, it's not surprising we're linked with Witsel and Carvalho.

I'm hoping Coleman rediscovers his form this season so when deulofeu is tucking in at least we still have someone out there

...that's interesting as well. Under RM I think the full backs were reckless at times, they were regularly caught in no mans land, leaving the two CBs exposed to one long ball from the back (Chelsea away, Arsenal at home). I think much depends on whether we go back 3 or not but I suspect/hope their raiding is more controlled.

I'm just hoping for a good all round performance from the Blues that gives us all hope for the new season. My 13 year old daughter will be with me, watching her first ever game at Goodison so I really want her to enjoy RK's first home game.
I know we are Everton but I have a good feeling about this one.

They play 4-3-3 but doesn't mean you have the 3-5-2 to counter it, so going with the oh so funky 4-2-1-2-1.
No that's not a diamond, it's better and I should be manager!
Anyway, was going to do the team map, but someone complained about that earlier so ....

Stekelenburg
Coleman Stones Mori Baines
Gueye Barry
Barkley
Delofeu Mirallas
Lukaku

I'm in the Lower Bullens tomorrow (lads pressie). I haven't been there since we drew 2-2 with Chelski (actually, they were still Chelsea then), but their 2nd goal was 10 yards offside! (Eddie Newton, crap players like that maybe?)
