So predictable that we'd try and shut up shop. Palace well worth a point.
We're having a laugh if we think we're good enough for Europe, either competition.
Seamus and Tom played well and with passion, but had to give Gbmain man of match , long road he's been on and very pleased for him

Think we settled for what we had in that last 15 minutes and paid the price
just look at it this way whatever we compete for we ain't ever going to win it anyway does not really matter where we finish

Said it and I will say it again this team has lacked desire and fight for decades
Eg Richarlison today taking that free kick, where was our snow flake of a captain to sort him out and tell him to get to €u$%

Their keeper was like prime Southall today, keepers have games like that from time to time, seems to happen alot against us mind.

Carlo didn’t squander all those chances...

DCL and Richarlison did.

Who’s to blame?

Both need to shoulder the blame. The finishing was unforgivable but Carlo offered Palace a way back into the game with the subs. We were going just fine. Coleman looked threatening and James was getting on the ball more and making things happen. As soon as both went off we were unable to keep ball and lost all initiative.

So many chances missed, this should have been game over long ago. Its not, so its typical Everton.

It's not a big surprise as its the same midfield as last season. It wasn't good enough then and its not now.

Coleman hasn't been bad, he's done some nice things but he's not the Coleman of 5 years ago. A new midfield is needed as its shown you can't get through a season with two capable midfielders.
This is by some distance our biggest problem. Yes, we need a new RB - but that's because apart from Seamus, we don't have ANY right backs... the midfield however is full in terms of personnel on the payroll, but most of them either can't ever stay fit or just deliver absolutely nothing when they are on the pitch.

The near-total absence of a functional midfield tonight was abundantly obvious, and incredibly painful to watch. There was no movement ahead of the player with the ball when any of our CBs were in possession, and none of the midfielders ever looked to run with the ball when they had it. Brands and Ancelotti must surely be hounding every agent they know to come up with two new starting-standard CMs, and digging two shallow graves for Delph and Gomes.

Guys, all the talk of top 4 is nice...feels like we're playing for something right... but in truth, we are lightyears away from being ready. We'll embarass ourselves in the CL.
