You think it’s not? Finishing outside of the European spots has to be deemed a failure for me

We don’t get ancelotti in and james to get us into the top 10.
Agreed, unfortunately we’re in a fight for 7th with West Ham, villa and arsenal and Europa conference league or whatever the hell it is. But we must play in Europe next season in any guise

I rather leave James in the game. He is the only one who can either put through a good pass and generate a chance. This move has backfired once again.

So what happens when James, who's not fully fit and reaches that fitness red zone of being highly likely to get an injury after 85mins, misses a few more games because we left him on too long?

I don't think we're very different. Just had the luck in away games more frequently.

Today was a good performance and losing points is a thing that happens even when you play well in football but we don't have enough of these types of performances for it not to be a season killer when it happens to us.
Why do you post guff like this? What is the need for prodding people with such obviously false statements? By and large most of our team today played poorly.

What really does my head in is the “it’s sound lad” attitude. Miss chance after chance “don’t worry it’s just Everton it’s sound lad” taking free kicks off one of the best dead ball specialists in the world and blazing it over the bar “it’s sound lad”, putting half arsed performances in all over the pitch “it’s sound lad I’m starting next week regardless”.
The talk of getting Europe now is laughable, it’s just another wasted season.

Why bother supporting or watching then if everythings a foregone conclusion?

A huge missed opportunity again for the 7th time this season against poor opposition. A win tonight and win our game in hand we're right in there for fourth.

That's gone now. EL at BEST.
This team is not good enough it just makes the numbers up

If Michael Keane knew how to position himself correctly we'd be fine. What has happened to him? Mina gets stick but he was doing everything today in a back 3. If Holgate isn't RB he's on the bench, bizarre to bring Godfrey on and leave him RB instead of switching out Holgate.
Keane is Keane . Crap he was crap he stays.

Carlo gambled on Gaba and Godfret and it wasn't the call to make unfortunately.
Would any other manager, or any of us even, think that defending a 1-0 lead with 15 to go, while we’re creating chances that our attackers aren’t taking is the best time to throw Gbamin into the mix?

One way or another it reeks of “making a point” to me. Either simply that he doesn’t want/never wanted King or more broadly that he needs backing in the window when it opens. Either way, wrong move.
