games like this totally pass Gareth Barry by. He has started the season badly and we have zero cover in front of our defenders even though we are playing to holders ?????.Super kev and naisey though wow.

He got his three years contract though.

And McCarthy is dreadful today. He offered no protection and let eveyone go past him. Christ.

Although our defense were dirt at least we went out and attacked, if we sat back and never ventured outside our own box like burnley or Leicester the scrolling would have been a lot more respectable

Well, I'm not as gutted as last week. I just feel dirty.

I need to lock myself in the shower and scrub this game off. Two weeks away from these belters will do me good.

That was like a pre-season game in terms of defending.

In possession we're boss but every time the opposition team gets the ball we're shocking. I worry because it would appear Barry, Distin and Jags have all lost their legs due to age.

McCarthy wasn't much better but he's doing the job of 2 men.

We need Stones and Besic (I know it was a howler) to come in for Jags and Barry.

However on the positives. Mirallas, Coleman, Naismith and McGeady were all excellent and Baines and Lukaku both had good games. There's not many teams that will score 3 against Chelsea and hit the woodwork twice.

That said. They could have scored double digits.
