Poor ball retention is caused by a lack of players making themselves available to receive the ball and/or poor choice of pass.
We seem to excel at both. That’s when hoofball looks like a more appealing tactic.
First touch and composure of our players is embarrassingly poor at times. None of that is Sams fault.
 
So far,, we are getting a lesson in how to play football. AS soon as I saw Jags and Keane at back I thought crumbs that is it. Okay only 30 minutes but showed Martina is U/S, all that Davies has is energy, where is the skill, always tries to beat the man instead of passing and loses the ball.

In fairness to Davies, there's not a lot of options going forward for him to work with.
