…you can’t think like that. The risk is greater in a match situation but his type of muscle injury can re-occur in training. Dyche has been managing him, generally withdrawing him after 70mins and I expect the same will happen tonight.

After the W Ham game he said ‘i like the Carabou Cup’, so it was fairly obvious then that he would start.

It's a little terrifying how strong of a squad this is, but perhaps living on the edge and going for a result from the off could do us some good
