Think with Doucoure & Allan they really need to play as part of three with the likes of Gomes or JPG in there as well. They struggle when they're the only two operating in that area.

They seem to operate just fine in a 442 - previous games this month saw them used this way with Gray and Townsend as the wide midfielders. However they are less impressive as the two sitting players in a 4231.

I agree with you that they both look good in a 433 - I genuinely hope Gbamin comes good so he can play as the deepest middie in a 433.
