I voted for Mason as I thought he played well and he nearly scored -oops wrong end ! I cannot argue with Bernard winning it as he was great today and he might just have been hooked for the sake of the team ,by far his best position today .I put that down to Carlo doing his thing.

...suspect we can’t count on that £17m then. Never mind.
Pluses; He looked eager, he took up good attacking positions, his physicality was an asset.
Minuses; He looked off the pace (and may stay that way in terms of speed) and lacking match fitness.
To be fair he didn't get that long. If we ever play two up front (Hello Roy!) he may make a good foil for Ayew.

Nine points out of twelve for Don Carlo since he took over, just a defeat at city in the league so far, getting some sort of tune out of this shower and bringing a winning mentality back to our club, looking upwards now, europe looking possible now,up the Toffs.

In first half should have chances away. Second half we back pedalled some what. For me the subbings were not good, Carlo was intent on protecting the 1-0, ended up too many defenders on and giving the initiative to Brighton and we nearly came unstuck. Kean should have come onto replace Walcott and we should have pressed more to get a second by keeping our forwards going.

However 3 points keeps us ahead of the bottom pack just.

Thinking about it we ground out a result against a team we should really be beating when the odds went against us during the game. That ladies and gentleman is a modicum of progress

Away from home I would agree- at home we should be winning games like this 2-0/3-0 if we are to really progress.

We are like jaffa cakes.
