Well, we've got to be realistic that this is the first game, which usually comes with a new manager bounce; they'll want to impress or have been praised.

If we can carry this on for the rest of the season is the key question. Still, you can look at how we played for so long and know they were dejected.

Did they believe in the style, the tactics and the manager? Maybe, they weren't instructed (or cajoled) into playing with intensity, as it was often very tepid.

We're doing the simple things well here: working hard; simple passes; pushing up and getting the ball into the box.
