Loving reading the Arsenal forum of their equivalent to this thread.

Around 2pm yesterday with comments like ' Can't believe what Everton are doing to us right now '

' We are getting c0ckslapped by a 15incher '

' I can't wait for this fkn season to be over '

' my mum has bigger balls than this team '

After Rom makes it 2-0 ' fcuk this, im out, turning it off '

We made a few cry yesterday it seems. Im only on page 7 hahaha

There are 3 times it is ok for a man to cry...

1) death of a loved one.
2) birth of a child
3) When Everton gets to 81 points on the final day of this season.

Blimey!

Seeing the game out with 20 minutes left to play against Arsenal! Think the last time we had such a comfortable victory over them they were reigning champions and Mark Ward scored a belter.

We've now scored three times in each of our last four games, with three different scores per game - don't remember the last time that happened.

Arsenal have a much easier run in in the race for CL, but whether we achieve it or not, I believe our squad has the strength of character and belief that they CAN do it.

This is the "heat map" for Lukaku during the game.

What genius is this, that takes our central forward and puts him to the right side of the pitch.

School of Science.

Little late to this thread but random thoughts:

MOTM: Martinez. Arsenal were put on the back foot right out of the gate with Lukaku playing almost a 6 man midfield at times on defense and having Lukaku play wide right. With out the having to be the target man Lukaku was able to focus more on getting the ball while running towards the goal. Monreal was mismatched all day. I will be curious to see if this is something we may use when we play City. Keep Barkley deeper in the midfield but hav more players back to not put too much of a defensive workload on him.

Barkley: This match should cement the idea to everyone that he should be playing in a more deep lying box to box midfielder role. He was still able to have his long runs and he has always looked more natural collecting the ball deeper in the midfield but there are two things that stood out to me. One is his distribution. He has the ability to put the ball all over the pitch. Osman can make some quick short passes but he can not change the fields consistently like Ross can and being able to make the quick change is what will improve our attack the most. When defenses look to be able to shut us down, it is because it takes 4 passes to go from one side of the pitch to the other and the defense can regroup and get their shape adjusted. The second impact area that he is just starting to dig into his potential is the late runs into the box. I believe there were two instances where Barkley saw the space and made the run and the defense did not pick him up. These runs put a lot of pressure on the DM and keeps the defense honest.

Mirallas: Another big game and another great match from Mirallas. While I wish he was more consistent, if it is an important match Mirallas should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Astute observations Klinker, I had Martinez down for MOM also. Arsenal were thoroughly outthought and clinically outfought, outstanding. ..........
