It was great to be back at Goodison today.

Gutted that we dropped 2 points
2nd half subs were too late & didn't work

Highlight: hearing 'There's only one Stevie Naismith' chant (& the 1st half goals, of course)

Painfully, bitterly dissapointing. Distin and Jagielka were shambolic. Thought McCarthy and Barry were, as per, fantastic. All Distin and Jags had to do was defend the 6 yard box, the one task that was left to them. Awful.

My highlight was Miralles expression on his updated flag on Goodison Road

Check it out next week - proper Yewtree

We have no leaders at the back. We needed someone barking after the first goal. Our ability to defend the 2-1 against a team that really hadn't that much to offer is really disappointing. And again, the fitness is not there. Too many players looked absolutely spent at 80 minutes. We lose to Chelsea (which I would have almost taken at the start of the season) and we will really have our work cut out.

Look, I went;

We were boss for 75, crap For 25
That's right mate we really were

The place was bouncing until they scored and it felt like a punch to the gut once they equalised but you know what...

- Goodison Park is the greatest of places and it still felt good to be back

- We are going to savage a lot of sides once we are up to speed

- European games are still to come

It's still great to be blue

Spot on martinez has ballsed our pre season up imo, on top of that he was playing too many youngsters/bench warmers in the pre season games which was pointless as it was just denying the regular lads the game time to get their fitness levels up.

The fact we have been playing indoor friendlies for the last 2 midweek games says it all.
