It was a very good cross. Jags was in a decent position when the ball was delivered, and it just wasn't possible for him to get his head to the ball. Just because he tried, doesn't mean he 'missed' it.
He should of read it better, and distin shouldnt of expected jags to meet it either and loose concentration

The thing that worries me is not that we're letting in goals (that's going to happen to every team) but how easy the goals are. We had 4 people in the box against 1 Arsenal player and we let them score. Then Distin gets out muscled and lets the second in. If both goals were amazing well worked or great shot goals then I'd be ok but with them given so easily it worries me that we're going to do this every game.
This was the case last season, we tend to let a lot of soft goals in. My main concern though is our lack of back up fire power up front. We've barely looked like scoring in the 2nd half of both games thus far because we almost look like a spent force, which for the 2nd game of the season is a worry. Last season the majority of our substitutions had a positive effect, today was the opposite. We need to convert these winning positions into big wins, Arsenal were there for the taking today.

Lads, I'm so angry at Arsene Wenger that I'm going to think of his face while I'm [poor language removed]

I reiterate, Naismith is a nothing player.

Are you basing Ozil's worth off his first game of the season where he clearly isn't match fit yet?

Woah mate.

You're a very welcome guest on here but bear in mind that you're sat in the home end with a Gunners shirt on so saying things like that makes you look a bit of a WUM. To be fair we've said much the same about Naisy in the past but he's won us over under a new manager and I hadn't realised Ozil was actually on the pitch till I saw him ambling around our area in the second half.

To sum up. Naisy is boss.

I thought he jumped a fraction too early

It wasn't my opinion after watching it.

Redknapp and Hoddle actually thought Giroud was fouling Distin and preventing him from jumping. It was done in a clever way though. Don't know how Jags could have read it better. You're talking of about 2-3 seconds from when the cross left the Arsenal players boot, to when it landed on Giroud's head.

To be honest, now that pure anger is out of the way, being disappointed at a side like Arsenal managing to claw a point of us is a pretty cool feeling. It was only a few years ago we'd have settled with a feisty 2-1 loss against such a side.

I'm not "happy" about throwing away two points obviously but we've come a long way.

4 points down the shitter can't believe we can't see a game out. Teams at the top know how to see out a result, Chelsea are the perfect example of doing that. We need to learn it and these early dropped points cost us last season

Totally agree. Watching the highlights having just got back from Goodison, we did play very well. Just 10 minutes of pure sloppiness due to being knackered. Sharpness comes with match fitness though, so with a bit of luck we'll be able to fire on all cylinders again next week. Hoepfully Pienaar won;t be out for too long

A shock win against Chelsea and all is forgiven, if not its a shambles in the way we have cocked up these last 2 games.

Said it all summer bobby was watching the Dutch lads train at the WC he should have gotten Martins Indi or De Vrij in and started the rebuild at the back. Distin for me should be a squad player no top 4 team would have a 37/38 year old CB playing week in week out

In fairness given the teams they went to we probably wouldn't have got them.
