would like too see this, actually no wouldnt make sense moving
pienaar away from baines, can atsu play AM? never seen much heard
good things though, scored twice too in the friendly

He can play across the front three mate, but as you've pointed out already, it wouldn't make much sense breaking up Baines and Pienaar while it looks like their best mates again.

Bring him on for Mirallas in the second half imo. Monreal won't know what has hit him.

I think our best bet is to use Barry and Besic's long passing to bypass that part of the pitch and hit balls into Mirallas and Atsu. It would however be nice if Lukaku could drop deep and get it - this is where Naismith excelled last time we played them and a part of Lukaku's game he needs to improve.

It will be interesting to see what Roberto does. I think he will play Pienaar too.

Depending on how fit he is I think it'd be unfair to play Besic ahead of Gibson.

Just starting to do my head in really the amount of people who are putting Besic or Atsu in teams ahead of the likes of Barry, Pienaar, Naismith and Gibson (dependant on position) just because they're excited to see them or because Besic showed a few nice touches in pre season. Obviously not saying I don't think he looks good but needs to prove himself, as does Atsu. Fair enough in a few weeks if Barry has a shocker or something then throw Besic in, or if we want to change the system, that's what squad depths about, just seems a bit unfair on our proven players to disregard them on a player who at the moment is a prospect and nothing more considering we don't know hardly anything about him.

I hope Atsu plays just because last year it was so fun to hear the gooner fans moaning about how we only won because of our loan signings and that's not fair and Lukaku isn't even ours. I liked that day.

Got to put some wind up on Wilshere, Mirallas is the chap there on previous viewing. Their backs can be gotten to, and they'll look to peg Baines back so as to negate Pienaar. Its quite the start we have and a prime time game in the second week, god its great having the football back. This lot are a dimension missing with Walcott out.

"Everton are without the injured Ross Barkley and Bryan Oviedo but, otherwise, they are at full strength and this game will give us an idea of their credentials this season too." Even Lawro has forgotten Kone exists.

Anyway I'd be amazed if the team wasn't

Atsu and McGeady to stretch their legs if we're looking to equalize/nick a winner.
