We did beat Chelsea last year with no Lukaku, Naisy played well that day too.

However, if he is out, not strengthening has really bit us on the ass.

Going to be a fascinating game. Am curious to see if Wenger will opt to be more pragmatic against you guys and am also curious to see how Martinez approaches this game. I think you guys have a few injury concerns but that is somewhat countered by the fact that we don't seem to be anywhere near full fitness along with the fact that our Germans are not yet match fit, we look like we're still in preseason to be honest. Not sure if this worrying lack of fitness is a new approach by our new fitness coach Shad Forsythe because we often had a habit of going all out in preseason training, coming out of the blocks firing and then dropping like flies as the season wore on as a result of fatigue accumulation which inevitably leads to a ridiculous build up of injuries, maybe we're pacing ourselves.

More proof that so called twitter ITK, know F All. We should rename the term KFA (know F All)

TBF that toffeeTV acct that reported the knock did say they still expected him to play.
It's just Ross' injury has got Blues primed to mega fume / poo themselves with worry at the merest hint of further treatment room activity.

I've seen similar speculation regarding Everton mate considering our winless, 3rd gear preseason and the fact our world cup quarter Belgians didn't see a preseason game.
Be interesting to see come March + April if we haven't completely forgotten by then.

All about pacing yourself, better to not have a player available for a few games than to rush them back and risk a severe injury.
