I'm impressed with the club for putting these games on. It's paying off too. I've never felt more excited about our youth setup. COYB.

Is there much of a differnece? It's the MLS after all

It would be interesting to know how the costs work out for these tournaments.

Especially in a time of financial hardship, there seems to be a lot of effort and money going into the Academy and what is essentially the older youth team of the Reserves (South America, Austria, Russia, USA). Big difference from games against Marine or Airbus.

The Everton website has Chris Long down as a scorer but apparently Gethin Jones scored. Johann Hammar, Ryan Higgins and George Waring had to step down as they contracted a bug so Everton fielded a slightly weakened team

Yeah. I know that the first team travelled to some matches by coach rather than flying to save money. Perhaps they've done some sort of deal? If we're taking first-team, reserves, academy, coaches and back up staff to places like Austria and America we could probably charter a plane. I read recently that when United went on tour to Australia that the squad had to fly on three separate planes for insurance reasons.

haha, I know that's a joke but I still want to point out that MLS isn't as low a quality as it gets stick for. It's like watching mid-table championship teams. If we weren't spoiled with the EPL then we'd probably be able to watch and appreciate it a lot better!
