I'll reserve judgement until I see proof.
All this alleged movement after selling a 47.5m player when the window has been open for weeks.
yes there is truly no explanation for this that hasn't been linked to dozens of times in this very thread or on twitter

Either you're a wum or not as bright as you make yourself out to be.

I'm not making myself to be anything I'm just curious as to why all the sudden activity the same day as Stones was sold.
I think I understand the potential wage increases but as I mentioned we got rid of 4 first teamers so can't see why some more business couldn't have been done earlier.

Buy you are probably right I'm just to dumb to understand.

Not getting into any dialogue with you as you're nothing but an attention seeking tit.

You chat bubbles and crave a reaction.

I'm predicting a ban in the near future.

I hear RAWK is a great place for people such as yourself.

U replied to me more than anyone else ....drrrr

Will be interesting to see how this and witsel play out, I figure they are the only two marquee names really left in the hat now. Both need to be gotten over the line to salvage the window in my opinion.

I would agree with that, although my natural Evertonian pessimism dictates that I'll be happy if we get one of them.

I'm not hung up on so-called marquee signings, but after all of the palaver this summer it would be a shame to miss out on all of them.

That, and addressing the other gaps in the squad are what it's all about now.

Assuming (did I just write that) in addition to Williams we get Kone and Bolasie, we still need another 4 IMO.

I suppose it's just too much to ask for Begovic, Bony, Mata, and Witsel to go with Kone and Bolasie. Way, way, way too much.

But hope springs eternal.

Well I can't argue with that. Haha, seriously though we just talked about it being the PR war.

Perhaps it is possible that what we might deem "secondary targets" like Kone and Bolasie have been in the plans all along, but not acted upon because without the sale of Stones we were not sure we had room to sign (and pay) these folks as well as our main targets under STCC (like Witsel and Mata). Rather than jeopardize the possibility of the main signings they held off on anything on the chance that Stones stayed.

Now that Stones is gone, we can secure the secondary targets without worrying about STCC having an impact on our continued pursuit of the primary targets.

I may be in the minority, but i still hold out hope that we have 1 or 2 major signings coming on.

I also believe that Walsh and Koeman are putting pieces together to build a team with the idea that the whole will be greater than the individual parts.

Here is hoping anyway.....

I'm not sure if the ins and outs but didn't we get rid of 4 or 5 first teamers.
Surely the wages offered to the three players we are being linked with would not push us that far over the edge all I'm saying is why wasn't this taken care of weeks ago everyone knew Stones was going to go eventually.
What I'd Stones would have gone on deadline day could we have not made any signings that sounds like bull to me.

The wages saved by releasing players was approx £200k per week'ish. Add that to the extra £125k per week (stcc £7mill pa allowed increase) = £325k per week increase in wages. Rom increase = £70k (guess), Gueye £70k (guess), Williams £80k (guess) = £220k leaving £100k per week for all other transfers. Seeling Stones allows us to buy a number of other players equalling £800k per week in wages.

If I'm wrong in that, please let me know because it's what I've based my own feelings regarding our transfer strategy this summer.

Stones £47.5m

Then why go and spunk most of that on Bolasie not saying I wouldn't want him but £30m

Think of the player we could have got from abroad for £30m

The Premiership is a false Market at the moment with over inflated prices, surprised we are shopping in this market to be honest. I understand the importance of Prem experience and a couple of players from the Prem is wise but there is better value and quality to be bought from abroad.

:Blink:Bolasie £30m WOW WOW WOW:Blink:
