One thing I don't understand with the potential signings of Williams, Bolasie & Kone (and also Bony & Mata)....is, why the hell have we left all this till days before the season starts?!.....we surely didn't need the Stones money to secure these deals...this finally should have been a summer when we had the financial power to do our business earlier and have our squad settled before the season kicks off

To be fair, that was probably the wrong the choice of phrase, my point was that Kev is clearly a talented player, and my take is that it's his personality which is the reason he's sat on the bench rather than starting every game like he should be. On the pitch, he's egotistical, greedy, I never see him play for the team, he demonstrated as much with the infamous penalty debacle.
Talented player though he may be, blues always jump to his defence. I think until he sorts out his attitude, he can't be considered a quality first team player for us.

Everton's new buying off the shelf strategy is catching people on the hop. For weeks the club pursued a shoot the stars strategy, which was fine, but it was clear a good two weeks ago it wasn't working. Time has drifted by and now we are signing a blows hot and cold Palace player their fans laugh at and at an exorbitant fee. In stark contrast with how we patiently persisted in tracking our main targets over a relatively long period with no result, and suddenly boom, a new name and all done!
