Nice way to scare the hell out of us. Well played

Imagine he signs and we get the final and he scores a worldly against the RS.

Oh shut up....what are we doin to ourselves

I really don't want to get my hopes up... this is a "next level" signing for me if it happened; one of the only ones (if not the only) out there which is somewhat realistic.

If we grabbed him and kept Lukaku another season, the sky would be the limit. Yarmolenko and Deulofeu on each side of Lukaku. Christ.

I've completely sold myself out on this one mate, seen him play enough to already imagine the damage he would do in this league and under the system we play, one of the best parts of his game is getting into the box on late runs from wide, would cause absolute havoc for us and push Lukaku on even more

agree, why do you think teams such as utd and arsenal(both who would improve them) arent in for him?

I suspect because they both want to try and bring proper world-class players (like, the level above Yarmolenko) in the summer instead. Which may be why we're going for him now - snap him up before clubs like that fail at getting their No. 1 targets and go for Yarms as a backup, at which point we get blown out the water.

Difficulty in dealing with Kiev, player may want guarantees about playing time they are unwilling to make, as goat mentioned a whilst back a lot of people have the notion that 'eastern europeans' find it hard to adjust to the premiership as well, maybe they just prefer other players - the league is littered with players you wonder how the real top moneyed teams missed out on. Look at Konoplynka for an example i suppose - obviously good enough for Arsenal and United and even as a free agent wasn't approached...

Christ we had NO competition for Lukaku when you think about the two loan seasons he had had in the premiership thats mental to think back on

Cant be true that

Gibson to Swansea would make sense though, similar type of player to Shelvey in a lot of ways, not much if any fee to pay and get a player who is desperate to play well to make the Ireland squad for the Euros, and who if he can stay fit is better than anyone they have in a similar position (especially sicnce they are selling/have sold Shelvey)
