Everton tactical analyses

Some great books to be read on this topic; I've just finished reading "Coaching the Tiki Taka Style of Play" by Jed C Davies and reading it in the context of what Martinez is doing at Everton was truly eye-opening.

You can really see the processes he has adopted during games in terms of 3rd line passes, operating with a 'deep lying playmaker' between the back 3, ball retention, controlling the space and isolation of the opposition full back. The book itself goes into awesome detail on all of these points. I'm a real life football manager in the lower leagues of Welsh football, so it's more relevant to people like myself that actually coach, but I'd still recommend it if you're a tactics nut. Watching games becomes a whole new experience. Plus, there's a Wigan Athletic case study in the final chapter, which analyses Martinez' approach and speaks to his backroom staff (Tim Lees I think?).
