Wouldn't he have been 24-25 when he was at his peak and they won the league? And people are still pretending that isn't the new norm?

I remain far from fully convinced by the Dumfries link.... 15-20 million on a 25 year old who has never played the PL is risky. Get younger blood Marcel!
'kin ell mate I'm 26... making me feel old :D

£15-20m - is it that much, really? For an international, powerful, athletic player who has also played in the Champions League too?

See I didn't see the cantwell shouts but the other 3 you could understand and it's like with Brentford Watkins that lad who went to West spam and toney now there are decent players down the lower leagues. We just seem to miss the boat with them all Godfrey apart

There is....but they're not cheap now. There's no real "bargain" championship player by the looks of it. Anyone rated starts out at £30mill. Bowen was £25mill will add-ons. Watkins £30mill.

Toney is gonna be at least starting out at £40mill.

Explain please how it's a sideways step? Size of club? History? Honours? And we will be spending more then Wolves
We're much bigger in terms of history. The same history that happened before most of our fans were even born. There's not too much difference if we look at where we're at now though.

Of course it still means something, after the so called top six we are the most attractive Club for managers and players
Most players know Everton as a midtable team. That's what they've seen their entire lifetimes. "But we've won more titles than citeh!" They don't care.
