Oh, he's better than our current options, for sure, but that's not a very high bar. I suspect Wolves would want £40m or something absurd for him and he's not worth that for me.

They have way more appeal than us. We may have finished above them in recent seasons but they've actually won things and made Europe more than us in the last 5 or so years. To a foreign player, Ancellotti aside, we're nobodies.

Sad but true but they did finish 9th for two seasons after their league win and messed up CL qualification last year and are up against it this year. That being said they are light years ahead of us in terms of progress and identity and now modern history with two trophies even though historically they aren't as big.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all of James moved onto his retirement swan song league this summer. The fact that he seemingly didn’t want to play today because he was a little tired is pretty ridiculous.

Jesus, of course i dont know if this is how it will go!

I see us needing at least 4 or 5 players.
I see doing that being harder than most think.
I see us getting close to the end of the window and it not going to how 'we' hoped it would.
I see then in hindsight 'us' looking back at what we couldve done differently/earlier.

Its my overly simplified answer after a few back and forth posts as to why imo a loan for Gilmour (if we cant persuade Chelsea to sell him) is a decent idea.

A traffic cone with a face painted on it is better then those two doesn't mean we should throw money at it.

Believe it or not there are other players out there who are extremely quick and can score goals and get assists and cheaper.

Adama traore is the 2021 version of bolasie but with less end product. All raw pace and power but with no brain.

Hes class. They got him cheaply from Fiorentina...Milan landed Tonali on a very good deal as well.
