The time to do this was after the world cup. I actually suggested this in the January and that we should go after Henderson, who was 3rd choice keeper at United and on loan to Championship side Sheffield United and receiving great plaudits.

Pickford's stock was still high and he had become England's undisputed number 1. We were heavily reliant on Richarlison and in need of a centre forward but had no money. He was somebody we could cash in on.

Needless to say the suggestion didn't go down too well on here. We wouldn't get decent money for him these days. In fact we'd probably struggle to sell him because we gave him a 6 year contract in 2018 on £100k per week.

We need to face up to the reality that our best chance with Pickford is that he stops making stupid mistakes and rediscovers some kind of form.

If he had kept up his form for us he could have gone onto be one of the best around but suddenly went off a cliff after that Liverpool game.

Tbh i dont think Henderson is very good.

If Pickford had been older then we should have cashed in (like Keane now) while his stock was high...but not when theyre young.

Im stuck on how virginia got a long extension.

It was a great meme. Some more truth:

If you do the same with his goals for the year before, we finish 17th on 39 points. Two points above relegated Newcastle.

If it hadn't been for e.g. Barkley tagging on a last minute bonus goal at Southampton (which according to this rule renders Lukaku's opening brace worthless) then it would have been actual relegation.

It's right up there with the worst stats I've ever read.
 
I don't think Justin is all that. His crossing isn't the standard I would like in our new right back. He was good value for£5 million though.

You need more than a couple of good centre forwards to finish top 4. We still lack a functional right back and any goal threat from the wings. Also we could have prime R9 up front, as long as we are playing Jordan Pickford in goal we aren’t touching the top 4.

James stats are the exception that prove the rule
