I like trippier, couple of things that go against him, obviously his age. And injury prone apparently, he has played 52 la liga games since he joined. And that included a ban.

The pros he’s a good player, experienced, good going forward. Will have been coached very well by Simone, from a defensive point of view. He’s only a year left on his deal. Could we get him for 10mil? Do Everton think he will do a good job for a couple of years. And maybe we have an excellent young RB in the youth set up. So why pay 30/35 for an Aarons or someone similar.

We'd be accumulating a lot of older players expecting them to win enough to get into Europe and compete for the CL now but they wouldn't add up to a good enough team.

Pity we have zero chance of signing at least 50% of that list.

There are legit only 3 on that list who would even entertain joining Everton. And even they will likely have better offers.

Hakimi? As in the one who is a key player for the Italian Champions that will be in the CL and is one of the best 5 or so RBs in the world?

Yeah Hakimi is a long shot as ive always said.

Aarons it seems isnt the main target.

Emerson is being courted by other spanish sides.

Where would you deploy him to make better use of the fact that he cannot move at more than walking pace and cannot tackle?

Wouldn't be surprised to see us go for Aarons mate, at this stage it's all rumours - even though I trust Fab's info.

We'll be assession options I'm sure.

I like the look of Baku from Wolfsburg but he's played a fair bit as a winger so not 100% sure he'd offer the defensive side enough...

But it's clear where the priorities in the squad are, for me - CM, RB, RW (forward).

Get those sorted, assess the CB situation and the striker situation depending on Kean (whose likely sale will probably fund one of the moves in the priority section).

We have to be quick though. We can't be waiting around. The Euros unfortunately does complicate things as teams will wait when it comes to buying and selling so it will be frustrating to an extent for ins and outs in that regard, but we know where our priorities are so we should move asap.

Baku is the name loads hype about isn't he but I'd be lying if I said I'd seen enough of him to fully judge. Have been impressed from the clips I've seen but I think he might be more suited to, right now, playing further forward.

I've seen slightly more of Mbabu, who he plays with for Wolfsburg, and think he could be an option.

Mukiele at Leipzig looks a real player, pace, power, but think he'll go on to develop into a CB.

Celik at Lille is neat and tidy but not really a ball carrier which is supposedly what we want in that position. Dumfries offers a lot of power and pace though understandable doubts buying direct from the Eredivisie. I like Dubois from Lyon but not sure he brings the athleticism we'd want in that position. Odriozola might be one to look at if we could get him on loan from Madrid.

Ive been thinking more about Ridle Baku and watching some clips. Initially i had it in my mind that he was basically 'Lamptey'. But hes a lot taller (5'9 ?) and does cover a huge amount of ground up/down at high speeds.

Looks like he could play wing back with that level of stamina as well.

Then i got thinking...imagine Baku with Bailey in front of him...thats an absolutely rapid combo.

If we signed him then were playing 433 and he's competing with Richarlison for the left attacking position. Theres better options out there for us.
