Moura has a poor goal return considering the team he plays in and the players around him, he definitely wouldn’t be class, he’d be a huge waste of money. He’s 30 in August, let him go back to France

Agree with this, Moura looks average at best, we already have a large number of average players we are stuck with unless we take a loss.

Also as he is touted as a package with Harry Winks, cannot understand this one whatsoever as he doesn't add anything, plus he plays well in a team that keeps the ball, we don't get above the 40% possession mark most of the time so

Think we should look just for straight cash for Richie, part exchange deals are normally crap should call them deals a 'Burrows", after Brian Burrows, the worst part exchange ever.

Gavin Bazumu gone to Southampton for 12m today. Irish Independent has it that we made a formal enquiry, dithered and Southampton met City’s valuation instantly.

Good news by way of a sell on clause for Shamrock Rovers getting 2m of it if nothing else.
The moment I saw that lad play for Rovers at 16 I thought Christ this lad is good. He's just a proper keeper. I said it on here ages ago that if we needed to cash in on a player I'd gladly have him as Pickfords replacement. By the seasons end he will be worth much more than the 15 Soton paid for him.

Same. First time I saw him was when he was (I think) their youngest every player to play in Europe versus a Swedish outfit a few years back. Beast of a unit for a 16 yr old he was at the time too.

Keeps Kelleher out of Irish team on merit. Kelleher would be one of top 10 keepers in the league. He needs to get out of Greyskull because he aint going to shift Allison as the bearded porn star is top 2 in the world.

Why would we sell our most consistent player, plus we have a 2nd choice and a third choice already sorted...

Goalkeeper is not an area we need to touch whatsoever

Center midfield is the most urgent!
Begovic was very suspect in our final game of the season. Would not want to be reliant on him for an extended period next season in the event of a JP injury.

He´s OK, but he´s a far right-lover, he´s almost 30 in a few weeks, high wages and a massive step down quality wise from Richarlison. I´d rather an extra 2M than be lumbered with him for the next 3 or 4 years.

Winks is a different kettle of fish... he has a lot of calibre and might be ideal for the way Lampard wants to play... I wouldnt value him at much over 10M.

Agree completely in looking for straight cash for Richarlison though... and if we want Winks do it seperately

We’ll have to agree to disagree.

You may want to look at the judgment itself at

It opens by saying
The purpose of Art. 17 of the FIFA Regulations is basically nothing else than to reinforce contractual stability. Other than article 14 and 15, it does not provide the legal basis for a party to freely terminate an existing contract at any time, prematurely, without just cause. Rather, the provision clarifies that a termination of a contract without just cause, even if this occurs outside of the Protected Period and following the appropriate notice period, remains a serious violation of the obligation to respect an existing contract and that a compensation will be due.
Suggest that you read this it explains it succinctly

Ah yes, 30. That age when footballers apparently crumble into dust.

I think he works as hard as Richarlison and is arguably better technically. Agree his goal numbers aren’t great but he’s been playing in a team where they have two top goal scorers so I feel like he might weigh in with a couple more for us.

Yes, he’s older than Richy so the longevity isn’t there, but if we could get 2-3 years out of him at his current level while we get out from under the current FFP mess I don’t think that’s too prohibitive an issue.

Quite why I’m arguing so hard for it when it’s obviously not going to happen, I’m not sure. Preseason does funny things to people.
