Well he did keep us up.
Never knew we signed Dominic from City
Well he did keep us up.
Right, so what has he done in his PL career to suggest he is?Yeah I'd rather play KDB in central midfield than Zinchencko but that doesn't mean he isn't decent in midfield.
I expected it tbh it also tallies with the links to the likes of Cornet and the wingersNo other way to take that other than he's leaving, and deservedly so. Everton failed to give him a chance at winning. Having said that, SHOW ME THE CASH
It's not loyalty I'm talking about I agree with you there, it's wanting first team football but I can see the attraction of the flipside of getting well paid to sit on a bench most of the time playing in rotation and collecting medals if that's what you want to do it's a good life and looks impressive on a CV. But how many years has this lad done that already? Depends on his motivations for the rest of his career he clearly wont be first choice and you might strengthen again pushing him further down the pecking order. I doubt we can afford him right now anyway. Personally I would like to go for a younger DM who specialises there. Neville had a decent swan song with us, no he didn't win trophies but he was a captain type who played regularly compared to being mainly a sub at United, some players like playing football above all.. You can win trophies and not play much but some players like to be first choice/start games.Phil Neville is a good example because he became a regular for you but had he stayed a squad player at United he'd have carried on winning trophies. I have no Idea whether he regrets signing for Everton or not but he won no silverware whilst there.
In this day and age though players put ambition(and more money) before club loyalty and Grealish is a perfect example of that.
I've always considered him a left back (didn't know of him before city got him). But he is a midfielder, I thought this was a pretty well known and accepted !?!
I get that but excellent international pedigree at cm. Has played there for City ( not regularly) , attuned to English game , can tackle , is combative and crucially may not cost the earth.Right, so what has he done in his PL career to suggest he is?
15 appearances (10 starts) this season in the PL, all at LB. We have dire need for midfielders who can keep possession and create chances from midfield. This guy could be a decent squad option, he MAY even be more than that but he wouldn’t be my first port of call when it comes to midfield transfer priorities.
Would certainly be nice for us to land an affordable transfer that works out for us. We’ll see!!I get that but excellent international pedigree at cm. Has played there for City ( not regularly) , attuned to English game , can tackle , is combative and crucially may not cost the earth.

He arrived as a left sided attacking midfielder from what ive just read. But even prior to man city, he hasn't played much in midfield at a senior level. Its not unusual for players to move positions early in their career, wasn't hibbert an attacking midfielder through his youth?
If we got him, it's likely to cost us a decent amount, and I wouldn't want to take that gamble on him as a midfielder, as we need a proven midfielder that we know will work out at senior level.
Playing LB might have something to do with Benjamin Mendy, I don't think it was his or City's preferenceRight, so what has he done in his PL career to suggest he is?

Fair enough. He has played about 40 times for his country in midfield.
Even then he only played 15 games of which 10 were starts. He was rotated with the likes of Ake.Playing LB might have something to do with Benjamin Mendy, I don't think it was his or City's preference
Maybe he is going to pull an Mbappe and demand full control and a say in everything (including driving the team bus)New 10 year contract is what he wants
He’s definitely going, it’s the same as Mane across the park, if he was saying he would say he’s staying, so that answer just saves him answering more questions .No other way to take that other than he's leaving, and deservedly so.
