Lets see...something to keep us entertained and a discussion point.

@Simon Buttle @Neiler

Thoughts?

21, left sided centre back, highly rated, comfortable in possession, can carry it out and hit cross field passes at Championship level, big lad, battles well, year to run on his contract, strong leader, can play in a 3.

Cant watch it...due to "location"

Hows his pace? Leader as well?

Wonder where that would leave Branthwaite though, unless the club deem he’s not upto it. We seem to be looking at players of a similar profile to him. Unless the plan is to go for two left sided CBs to go with Holgate and Godfrey on the right if Keane and Mina depart. Seems a bit short of experience that though.

I think if we play with a three, we will need more centre back depth or maybe more relieable ones mate, we saw Coleman fitting in there at the end of the season but i think we all know that has a shelf life, is Hogate the answer, is Mina reliable, hes also at a cross roads with his contract. I think we will need more depth there and options.

I see Godfrey going to the right side given his pace, this lad is left sided, though the link in neboulous enough, we will need two who can cover for wing backs and come across. Hard to know on Branitwaite, a player there certainly, but you feel he still has a bit of way to go and can he play in a three - if that is how we are going to play. Hes still only 19 mind.

There is more to it than , might he score 20 goals + for us.
The way we play, the players we have, at the moment. No one is scoring 20+

Togetherness, a team ethic, as one, is what it’s about, Richie epitomises that for me at the moment, more than any other player we have.
It's true but I can't see him staying, whereas given Dom's last season I can see him staying another year. A few major reasons the valuation we have may not be met and he will be potentially worth more next summer, also how on earth do we replace him? I can only see younger players or loans and it won't cut it.

It would perhaps suggest were going for 3 at the back next season.

???/ Greaves LCB
??? / Branthwaite CB
Godfrey / Holgate RCB

Tarkowski (CB) + Colwill (LCB) would do it...Keane and Mina sold.

With only a year left on his deal you’d hope it was a cheap buy.. ~£10m.

Hes talked about as a captain at Hull and has racked up some amount of consecutive appearances, all reports on his character are good. Pace hed be average enough, hes not breaking lines but standard centre back pace, hes a big lad. Many say his anticipation and speed of thought is his best attribute. Hes predominately left sided and many say one of weaknesses would be his work of his right.

I wonder if we could loan Hull Branthwaite and Dobbin for a season. Could suit us and get the fee down.

These JG and KLP are 2 of their main players so our boys should get a fair amount of minutes.

He is ridiculed on here but Keane needs to stay unless we bring in a dependable experienced CB into the squad

Hard to know mate, we might not even be interested, the link is just some lad on twitter. but hes one of those in Championship tipped to make a step up and PL clubs are reported interested, usual suspects, WHU, Brentford, Newcastle and us, could all be agents given his contract situation - though he seems happy enough to stay at Hull and renew.
