Yeah this does add a twist, we can’t afford to wait though. I’d like to think any transfer budget has been allocated and will be included in the takeover talks tbh.

That might be true in normal circumstances- you might be able to ring-fence a specific amount - but the issue we have is that our current budget is entirely dependent on sales, so we don't know what we're getting.

I imagine any incoming consortium would want a freeze on income being spent until they have a chance to organise the club in their image.

I don't watch Burnley play on a regular basis, but he did stand out to me in the few games I saw as someone to possibly watch. He has good size and looks like he can move around pretty well. I don't know his valuation but I would be interested.
