Conversely some people seem unwilling to accept that it wasn't a fluke but actually the natural continuation of a downward slide that started as far back as 2015. This squad is lacking in talent, lacking in enthusiasm, lacking in continuity and the current manager has shown very little tactically to suggest he's going to overcome it. On top of that the current transfer business doesn't suggest lessons have been learned yet.

Maybe right now it's a fluke, if we don't fix it soon in a few years it won't look like that.

Think you’re being harsh on a manager that would have had us 13th on the last 17 games he managed . A bang average Squad, ripped apart by injuries. low on confidence and turned over by referees and var countless times.

I think Frank and his team deserve a couple of years imo to see if they can build something

We have money once we sell Richarlison. There's also loans too.

As said: I'll be staggered if we dont see another RB in. The two slotted for it atm dont have what it takes to stake a serious claim for a starting place.

I love having Davek on the forum but this post has to be a great example of his style.
1) state a fact that is not in fact a fact that can be challenged. If indeed we sold Richarlison we would have money. Although Richarlison is not ccurrently even under an offer.
2) Exclaim astonishment if he is not proven right in his assertions
3) State an opinion as if fact. Coleman started for us 22 times last season and made 30 appearances in all, Patterson made 1 appearance but was injured for over half the season. Both are internationals but not good enough for us.
4) Lastly state another opinion as fact which reinforces not only all the statements above but also announces his infallability on this matter.

Its a pretty amazing post for three lines of text!

He could, but I doubt he will. I suspect his chance with us has passed.

Each season we imagine he will become part of tgd team, but it doesn’t happen.

He will probably get loaned again.

Saying with Ekitike's injury and Jesus having better offers thank Arsenal...

Newcastle and Arsenal could be set to make formal bids for DCL.

As someone posted earlier, Darwin Nunez £68mil + £17mil in bonuses for a player who has had one very good season in Portugal.

23 in a couple of weeks as well so not a wonderkid...hes not even delivered internationally either.

Meanwhile DCL....got to be looking at that £85mil for clubs in the same league....same as Richarlison but DCL has 3 years left.

His legs are going. He's picked up a muscle injury every year here.

Indeed, but he has done next to nothing since he got here. He has not been terrible or anything but hugely average.
