May be the case but if they thought he was good enough and wanted him so bad id of thought they would of made an offer too good to refuse and while the lad was still buzzing from a successful loan spell, now it seems he has a few suitors.

We'll never know. But they've signed like 3 CM's now so they aren't gonna go back for him. Maybe he was told he'd get a chance by United.

Probably told he'd be looked at yes and maybe believes he'd get in before Mctominay, worth a go if on lowish wages and not a huge fee would be exciting to be bringing young players in but also letting Gordon go isn't ideal if building something for next 3 years say.
