Depending on what he’d set us back, I’d take a chance on Ampadu. Decent player in there somewhere and can fill in a few positions.

If he’s surplus to requirements there, after never really troubling the first team, I’d like him as cheap utility option on top. Think it’d be like having a second crack at a Rodwell type; can play in defence or mid, decent physicality and if we DID get those players (as well as your stereotypical leaders in Tarky and Coady) he’d have some good players to learn from.

Pie in the sky, I’m well aware, but that’s what this magical time of year is for, after all.
