... when we're already bottom of the league and desperately need any striker we bring in to hit the ground running and single-handedly save us from relegation.

Viktor Gyokeres at Coventry is another who is quite similar to DCL but with a bit more of a ground game, scored a lot of goals last season in a fairly ordinary team, scored an outrageous goal at the weekend and is still fairly young (23/24 i think) I doubt he would cost silly money.

Saw him play v Sunderland. He was alright , the goal was great but other than that I didn't think " OMG we must sign him " I know he is highly rated. Rather go down this route than some hasbeens

Even Brighton who never have a striker didn't rate him enough to keep him.
