I know he’s had some problems with family and depression etc… but at West Ham he played very well.

Please no. Will sign him on high wages and end up stuck with him until his contract expires and he will want a minimum 4 years as its his last big deal. He has had one good spell with West ham but otherwise his return is pretty poor for an attacker.

I'd be ok with a 1 year deal for Lingard. Anything else is an absolute no.

Add 2 more players to that, who can get around 8 goals or 10 assists say, and you’ve strengthened straight away.
