Everton signs up BOXT as shirt sleeve partner

Sure, I'll bite.

I like their business model. These are the kind of businesses we should be dealing with whenever possible. However, it's a company with 70 employees as of the beginning of this year and six million pounds in revenue, whose funding rounds are in the low ten millions of pounds. This would seem to imply that either they can't afford to provide us market price for the advertising space, or that they will have difficulty sustaining the payments.

If they outbid KAYAK, which is a company with around 250 million pounds of revenue per year, that tells me that the potential problem here is the latter one.

If it's that good a deal I'm looking forward to the 3000 word article in both the Athletic and the Echo praising our wonderful CEO, how she gave Kayak a bloody nose and secured a 'record breaking deal for a sleeve sponsor.' (for Everton at least)
