Jacobsen Set For Blues Bow – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com - The Official Website of Everton Football Club

Lars Jacobsen is set to make his long awaited first appearance in an Everton shirt when Andy Holden's reserve team take on Hull City at the Halton Stadium tonight.
The Danish right-back, a late summer acquisition from German outfit Nuremburg, has been out since dislocating his shoulder while on international duty in September.
Having been denied a run out when last week's Premier Reserve League clash with Manchester City was postponed, Jacobsen finally looks set to get his first taste of English football and has been named in the starting line up.
Holden will also be able to call on first-team experience in the shape of goalkeeper Iain Turner, midfielders Dan Gosling and Jack Rodwell and attack-minded duo Lukas Jutkiewicz and Jose Baxter.
John Paul Kissock, who, along with Jutkiewicz, Gosling and Rodwell, was an unused substitute in the senior team's 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Monday, is also set to feature.
Meanwhile, Lewis Codling and Tom McCready, who both netted in the Under-18s' 3-1 FA Youth Cup victory over Burnley last week, have been named on the bench.
The Toffees, currently third in the Premier Reserve League North, will be hoping to maintain their title charge against a Hull side who have won just one of their nine games this term and go into the clash sitting bottom of the pile.
Earlier this season Everton defeated the Tigers 2-1 in the reverse fixture.
Holden's charges are six points adrift of second-place Manchester City and a further point behind leaders Sunderland.
Everton: Iain Turner, Lars Jacobsen, Nathan Craig, James Wallace, John Irving, Jack Rodwell, Dan Gosling, Hope Akpan, Lukas Jutkiewicz, John Paul Kissock, Jose Baxter. Subs: Lars Stubhaug, Eunan O'Kane, Moses Barnett, Lewis Codling, Tom McCready

I wonder if Moyes envisages Jacobsen on the right wing or challenging Hibbert for the right back slot.

Not much wrong with the defense as it is at the moment.

I wonder if he could play right wing - anyone seen him play there before at previous clubs or for denmark?

I shall be there to watch it. Look forward to seeing him.
VDM has never had a good game in reserves. Only plays the last 10 mins so you think he has done something.
Good little team out for us tonight.
