Brilliant that thank you. A couple of things, Archie Moore was fighting Giulio Rinaldi (a natural middleweight) that had beaten him (Moore) on points 10 months previous in Rome. Moore won this rematch by unanimous decision. (Moore is a legend in boxing amassing 220 pro fights).

Secondly, and very fittingly, there is a small detail in the article. "The club announced that, in light of their shortened summer break and focus on the Football League, they would not be entering the League Cup competition." Seems we've found where the hoodoo has come from then.

6'7" and 18 1/2 stone is pretty trim. I reckon there's a few Tom Cannons in history. From the Docks of Marseille to the Goodison green is some journey, also puts Stallone in the shadows as not the first all action pugilist to step out for the crowd.
